Physicians' Online Inc. is planning a free on-line medical information service for consumers which appears likely to provide a vehicle for direct-to-consumer messages from drug marketers. Set for a September launch, the program will be aimed at specific patient groups with chronic, life-threatening conditions, the company said, beginning with people with HIV/AIDS.
