OTA WORKING TO COMPLETE FOUR BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH REPORTS BEFORE SHUTDOWN agreed upon in July by House and Senate legislative branch appropriations conferees. The Office of Technology has projects ongoing in: resistance to antibiotic therapies; HIV vaccines; on-line health information services; and technology transfer in the Human Genome Project. The reports on those topics are scheduled to be finished before OTA closes its doors.
