Drug export bill promoted by Gingrich; urges supporters to keep up pressure.
DRUG EXPORT BILL PROMOTED BY HOUSE SPEAKER GINGRICH, during a presentation to a June 15 conference on medical innovation sponsored by the Washington, D.C.-based Progress & Freedom Foundation. To drum up enthusiasm for a quick change to the export rule for unapproved drugs, Gingrich told the conference: "You ought to try to ask us if we can get that written and passed and put into the rescission bill so that it is signed in about two weeks."
