AHCPR: HHS' Eric Katz will join Agency for Health Care Policy & Research Office of the Administrator as senior policy advisor on April 3. Katz is senior policy analyst in the office of the Assistant Secretary for Health Phil Lee, MD. At AHCPR, Katz' responsibilities will include cost-effectiveness studies, outcomes research and clinical practice guidelines. For the last two years he has been involved with health care reform issues. Katz also evaluated drug pricing policy in Germany under a Fulbright grant and served as executive director of the Edwards Committee on FDA (1989-1991)...
