Dominique Cahn will join BIO as director of government relations in early June, succeeding Mary Beth Rosenthal. Cahn most recently was acting director of the D.C. office of Medtronic and public affairs manager, and has served as a lobbyist for Medtronic for the last nine years. Former aide to Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) Edmund Ruffin named to Emerging Companies Section director, a new position. Ruffin will be responsible for coordinating activities of the section geared towards assisting startup biotech companies
