PHARMACEUTICAL RESEARCH MANUFACTURERS OF AMERICA (PhRMA) IS PMA REBORN
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association is adopting a new name -- Pharmaceutical Research Manufacturers of America -- designed to capture the public's favorable response to the new drug discovery and development functions performed by the private pharmaceutical industry. The new name is the most visible outgrowth of the re-evaluation of the association's mission and structure that has been under way for most of 1993 and early 1994.
