Burroughs Wellcome’s Zovirax
Cap on annual cost to patients receiving high doses for chronic use off-label has been reduced to about $2,000 per year, Burroughs Wellcome said June 4. Under the program, patients will now only have to pay for the first 552 grams of Zovirax taken in a year; previously patients had to pay for up to 730 grams.
