Executive Summary
Injectable sumatriptan's net wholesale price per 6 mg/0.5 ml dose will be $26.90 for two pre-filled syringes, $28.40 per dose for a kit with two self-dose pre-filled syringes (including a one-time charge for an autoinjector), and $26.50 per dose for a tray of five 6 mg/0.5 ml single-dose vials. Approved Dec. 28, the migraine relief product will become available on March 29. Glaxo is establishing a needle retrieval program which offers two free pre-filled syringes of sumatriptan when 14 empty syringes are returned for disposal and is offering the first dose of Imitrex free if administered in a doctor's office.
