Deputy Staff Director Stephen Sims, 47, will leave Rep. Dingell's (D-Mich.) subcommittee Nov. 1 to become a senior VP for Porter/Novelli, which has also hired former staff economist David Nelson as a consultant. Sims has been with the subcommittee for 16 years and has worked on generic drug investigations and the debarment legislation; probes into drug diversion and counterfeiting, which led to the Prescription Drug Marketing Act; and user fee legislation.
