FDA FY 1993 appropriations
Bill heads to House/Senate conference following the Senate's 88-6 vote on July 29 to approve the measure (HR 5487). As earlier passed by the Senate Appropriations Committee, the Agriculture/FDA appropriations bill included $744.1 mil. for FDA salaries and expenses, $8.35 mil. for buildings and facilities and $25 mil. for rental payments, the same as in the House bill ("The Pink Sheet" July 27, T&G-3). However, the Senate agrees to Sen. Simon's (D-Ill.) amendment to add $1.9 mil. for a clinical pharmacology training pilot program....
