Designed to educate consumers to the importance of reading labels on prescription and OTC medications before taking the products are currently being sponsored by the Council on Family Health and the Nonprescription Drug Manufacturers Association. The CFH print and broadcast campaign offers the message: "The medicine label. It's the first step to getting better." CFH Chairman and former FDA Commissioner Arthur Hull Hayes, MD, stars in the TV spot. The NDMA print campaign is headlined: "Why You Should Open Your Eyes Before You Open Your Mouth." The PSA is part of an ongoing antitampering message sponsored by NDMA in cooperation with FDA that has been ongoing since October 1991....
