Executive Summary
Senate Appropriations/Agriculture subcommittee reports out a bill Sept. 11 to fund FDA at $698.1 mil. in fiscal 1991 without user fees. The total is $9.3 mil. higher than the agency budget ($688.8 mil.) in legislation passed by the full House July 18. The Senate bill includes $661.7 mil. for salaries and expenses,$10.8 mil. for buildings and $25.6 mil. for rental payments. It is expected to be marked up by the full committee in the next two weeks.
