Executive Summary
Reduces number of U.S. distribution centers from three to one. Distribution centers in Sparks, Nevada; Memphis; and Philadelphia have been phased out and their activities are now consolidated at a new 150,000 sq. ft. facility in Knoxville, Tenn. The consolidation was begun at the end of 1989 as part of the review of all facilities and elimination of redundancies in the wake of the merger of SmithKline and Beecham.
