Oral alfa interferon for AIDS
Executive Summary
National Patent Development subsidiary Interferon Sciences obtains exclusive rights from Amarillo, Texas-based Amarillo Cell Culture Inc. for the therapeutic administration of low doses of natural alfa interferon by oral administration. The company says its plans a U.S. trial on patients with AIDS-related complex. Interferon Sciences currently markets the injectable natural alfa interferon product Alferon N for genital warts. The company is also developing a topical formulation for the treatment of genital herpes.
