Excerpta Medica
Executive Summary
Purchases Pracon Inc., a Reston, Virginia-based consulting firm. A division of the Dutch firm Elsevier U.S. Holdings, Excerpta Medica performs similar projects for drug industry clients in addition to publishing a medical database, EMSbase. Stephen Sudovar, one of the two founding principals of Pracon, left the firm in 1988 to return to Roche Labs as general manager. The other principal at Pracon, Chris Parios, is staying with the firm after the merger into Excerpta Medica.
