Top HHS officials would receive 20% pay increase in legislation, sponsored by Rep. Morella (R-Md.), planned for introduction the week ending Feb. 24. According to Morella's staff, bill will seek a 20% pay increase for all senior executive service federal employees. As representative for Maryland's 8th District, Morella's constituents include employees of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda and FDA in Rockville. Morella has also reportedly expressed interest in supporting a House version of Sen. Hatch's (R-Utah) FDA revitalization bill.
