Executive Summary
Position of acting director of Research and Testing Division is currently held on a rotating basis by 14 to 18 senior scientists. Acting Director James Kotteman retired from the agency in June. FDA has postponed a search for a replacement until the restructuring of the division is completed. FDA is actively looking for a permanent director of the office and to relieve Acting Deputy Director Jerome Skelly, PhD, from his other position as director of the Division of Biopharmaceutics.
