Hiroshi Nakajima, MD/PhD, director of WHO's regional office for the Western Pacific, nominated for top slot of director general. The post is currently held by Hafdan Mahler, MD, who completes his third term in July and has decided not to be considered for another term. Nomination will be submitted to 41st World Health Assembly meeting in Geneva in May.
