NACDS STAFF CHANGES ARE FORTHCOMING
Executive Summary
NACDS STAFF CHANGES ARE FORTHCOMING following announcements by three officials that they are leaving the association. National Association of Chain Drug Stores Exec VP William Welsh, a 15-year veteran of the association, announced on Jan. 11 his intention to resign to pursue other opportunities. Welsh, however, will remain with the association through the annual meeting in April. The resignations of Senior Vice President-Assistant Secretary/Treasurer George Nyhart and Vice President-Government Affairs Ty Kelley were announced on Feb. 2. Kelley has been the association's key liaison to Capitol Hill on such issues as Medicaid reimbursement and the pending Medicare outpatient drug proposal. The resignations follow NACDS President Ronald Ziegler's succession of Robert Bolger on Jan. 1. In press statements, Ziegler indicated that "announcements regarding new staff personnel will be made in the near future."
