Executive Summary
State department of health services awards grants for AIDS vaccine research to two California firms, Chiron and Becton Dickinson Monoclonal Center. Chiron is receiving $1.5 mil. from the state for its recombinant AIDS vaccine R&D. Becton Dickinson will receive $400,000 for its program investigating the use of antibodies against the CD-4 AIDS virus receptor.
