Perry Drug Stores realignment
Executive Summary
Chain divides core drugstore business into four groups. Two units of approximately 100 stores each will be headed by Group VPs Mickey Kole and Samuel Boulton. A third unit under Group VP Warren Jeffery includes 38 stores in the Chicago-Milwaukee markets. Perry's 10 A.L. Price deep discount H&BA stores will be headed by group VP Andy Giancamilli. "As a result of the changes, the operations and merchandising people will be closer to the stores and they will have a better understanding of the decisions they need to make," President David Schwartz remarked. The chain also runs 240 discount auto parts stores.
