Executive Summary
The Los Angeles-based drug chain announced the sale of its 34% holding in Crown Books back to the Dart Group for approximately $37 mil. The Dart Group has also agreed to receive Thrifty's 50% holding in Trak Auto on condition that Thrifty put $11.7 mil. into the West Coast div. of the auto parts chain. Thirfty is in the process of merging with Pacific Lighting in a friendly takeover valued at approximately $875 mil.
