Lederle Stresstabs

Agrees to change packaging and promotion of its Stresstabs vitamins to recommend the product "only in accordance with appropriate scientific principles for vitamin deficiency." The action is in response to charges from the New York State attorney general's office. In a prepared statement, Lederle said it "disputes the allegatins of the New York State attorney general's office and agreed to the stipulation of discontinuing the advertisement/promotion and the voluntary contribution of $25,000 to avoid protracted and more costly litigation." Lederle said a change in Stresstabs labeling by October would reflect the "clarification of the definition of physical stress".
