Executive Summary
Veterans Administration's Inspector General has notified 75 agency employees that they are being investigated for gifts received from the pharmaceutical industry. The investigation began last year and involves gifts ranging from $50 to $60,000 for services ranging from dinner speeches to consultantships. SK&F said in an official statement: "We are aware of the ongoing V-A investigation and for more than a year have cooperated fully with the agency in its review of our documents. Our activities have been open, above board, and consistent with traditional practices and applicable law".
