Tennessee Democrat has been elected to 21-member Hastings Center board. Center is New York-based research organization Which studies ethical issues in the life sciences and medicine. Gore recently introduced legislation (S 1255) to establish a national bioethics commission; both the House and Senate National Institutes of Health reauthorization measures contain similar provisions.
