April marked a change from the norm when it came to the product sector that raised the most money. IVD companies are often top of the list when attracting investment but they were pipped to the post in April by firms in the heart space, according to findings from Clinica’s venture financing deal tracker, which monitors fundraisings of $1 million or more (see Fig 1).
