Ela Medical to launch Chorum pacemaker

French group Synthelabo's pacemaker division, Ela Medical, is to introduce Chorum, a rate-responsive, dual-chamber pacemaker in 1996, says the company's annual report. Ela strengthened its position in Germany, Japan and the US during the year, expanding into the single-chamber pacemaker market with the launch of its Opus G in Europe and Japan. Ela also launched its Holter Synesis ECG recorder in France and Germany in 1995 and will release it in Italy and Belgium this year.
