German industry announces leap in exports

The German industry association for medical devices, BVMed, has announced that its 170 members recorded an overall increase in exports of 14% for 2000 compared with the same period in 1999. The main contributing factor to the increase was the high value of the US dollar. Exports, however, made up only 15% of the total turnover for the industry.
