Executive Summary
AtriCure, a manufacturer of cardiac ablation systems, based in West Chester, Ohio, has appointed veteran life sciences executive Mark Collar to its board of directors. Mr Collar is chairman of Ohio's $1.6bn fund for high-tech research, innovation and company formation (the Third Frontier Advisory Board) and vice-chairman and member of the executive committee of BioOhio, which promotes the growth of local life-science companies. He joins from Procter & Gamble, where he was president of the global pharmaceuticals division.
