Kinetikos Medical Inc.

Orthopedic Implants. Kinetikos develops orthopedic trauma products (bone screws) and reconstructive products such as toe and wrist implants, solely for the small bone market.

By far, the biggest segments of the reconstructive implant business are hip and knee replacement joints, and, not surprisingly, that is where big companies focus their attention. In an effort to avoid the crush of head-to-head competition with these elephants, some small orthopedics companies are finding haven in the smaller, but lucrative, markets for upper extremity (elbow through the fingers) and lower extremity (ankle through the toes) small bone implants. Small bone surgical techniques are also used in spinal fixation and oral/maxillofacial surgery.
